Fewer (and lower) fees for just five bucks
Unlike big banks that answer to shareholders, credit unions are owned by members (that’s you!). Your $5 opening deposit counts as your “share” of Georgia’s Own and stays safe and sound in a primary savings account (sometimes called a share account) for as long as you’re a member.
Giving back is what we do best
As a not-for-profit financial institution, we put our money where it matters most—in our communities and your pockets. Through the Georgia’s Own Foundation, we’re able to boost local organizations through fundraising and volunteering. Our annual reports highlight our impact across the state, as well as all the ways we save our members money each year.
