Visa Account Updater (VAU)
When you use your Georgia’s Own Visa® debit and credit card for recurring payments, like utility bills, Visa has the ability to update your card information through the Visa Account Updater (VAU) service if your card information changes. All Visa credit and debit card holders are eligible to enjoy this benefit.
Here’s how VAU works.
When your card’s expiration date or card number changes (if the original card is lost/stolen or reissued due to closure), Visa will communicate your new card information directly to qualified participating merchants you have authorized to charge your card.
VAU is designed to help prevent interruption of your recurring payments and possible service disruptions when your card information changes. Because not all merchants subscribe to VAU, we recommend that you notify each merchant of your new debit or credit card number and/or expiration date to ensure your payments continue uninterrupted.
VAU is provided as a free benefit to Visa cardholders. If at any time you wish to opt out of VAU or if you have questions regarding the service, please contact Georgia’s Own at 404.874.1166 or 800.533.2062, option 3.
All savings accounts require a $5 minimum deposit and a minimum daily balance of $5.01 to earn dividends.
