Mistakes happen. Whether it’s an accounting error or a temporary shortage of funds, our overdraft services are designed to provide a backup for those moments. Here are the options available to you.
Transfer from another account: With this option, we take the funds from another Georgia’s Own account to cover the shortage. The fee is much smaller than what a returned check would cost.
Overdraft protection for checks, ACH transactions and recurring debits: This service covers transactions that come in via check or automated payments so they are not returned or declined.
Overdraft protection for one-time debit and ATM transactions: This service covers your ATM and debit card transactions when there are insufficient funds in your account(s). To avoid your transactions being declined, you must opt-in.
There’s More Where That Came From
Overdraft line of credit: This option provides a line of credit when there isn’t enough money in any of your accounts to cover the transaction. You only pay interest when you use the line of credit.
Balance notifications: This handy feature lets you set up personalized notifications when your checking account drops below a certain amount. This will give you the heads-up to hold off on further transactions until you can add funds.
