To transfer funds electronically to another Financial Institution or a recipient at another Financial Institution, call that institution or recipient for complete wiring instructions. Wiring instructions often differ from the account information at the bottom of a check, requiring additional info such as a complete address for the receiving institution and beneficiary.
We are unable to guarantee the length of time it will take for the recipient to receive and apply funds sent by wire transfer. Wire daily processing times are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. EST each business day.
You may originate a domestic wire in person at your nearest Georgia’s Own branch. Or you may choose to fill out the Outgoing Domestic Wire Transfer Request Form and call Member Services at (404) 874-1166 or (800) 533-2062 and press option 4 to start the process. All Domestic wire requests received after daily-processing times will be processed the next business day. Outgoing Domestic Wire Fee – $20.00
You may choose to complete the Outgoing International Wire Transfer Checklist in an effort to gather all necessary information to successfully originate an international wire at your nearest Georgia’s Own branch. Click here for an example filled checklist
Due to regulatory and disclosure requirements, international wire requests must be completed in person and cannot be accepted after the 3:00 p.m. daily processing time cutoff for the next business day. Outgoing International Wire Fee – $50.00 (Additional pass through fees may apply).

Incoming wires are posted 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. ET each business day. Incoming Domestic Wire Fee – $15.00.
To receive incoming international wires, please have the sender use this form.
Incoming International Wire Fee – $50.00
Please Note: To ensure correct and timely delivery, it is necessary to utilize a valid and complete Georgia’s Own Credit Union account number for crediting of wire proceeds and include an accurate recipient name and address. Please refrain from using member number or member number and account trailer combinations as these entries are not valid account numbers. Failure to supply a complete and valid data entry may result in the delay or return of your incoming wire transaction.
A point is equal to one percent of the principal amount of your mortgage. For example, if you get a mortgage for $100,000, one point means you pay $1000 to the lender. These points are usually collected at closing and may be paid by the borrower or the home seller, or may be split between them.
A rate that reflects the actual annual cost of a loan and includes the loan interest rate, private mortgage insurance, points and some fees.
