Savings Certificates

If you're looking for a savings instrument that earns a higher yield than regular savings, check out our Savings Certificates. We have these terms available:

• Six-Month, One-Year, Two-Year and Three Year Certificates
• Can be purchased for as little as $500
• Can also be used as collateral on a loan at Georgia's Own

Special Certificate

Take advantage of this highly competitive, 11-month certificate special at 4.25% Annual Percentage Yield. This limited time offer requires only a $5,000 minimum deposit and renews to the current 1-year certificate rate at maturity. To get started, contact our Member Services Department by clicking here.

Individual Retirement Accounts

An IRA is an excellent tool for supplemental retirement funds. Choose from Traditional, Roth, or Education IRAs.

Features of IRAs at Georgia's Own:

• 18 month, variable rate accounts
• One-Year, Two-Year and Three-Year Fixed Rate Accounts
• Low or no minimum amount required to open
• Can make deposits through payroll deductions
• No administrative or maintenance fees
• Tax-deferred or tax-free interest

As a result of the Tax Reform Act of 1997, the Traditional IRA has added benefits, and the new Roth and Education IRAs provide new tax savings opportunities.

Important Information

Your deposits in savings, savings certificates, and sharedraft/checking accounts at Georgia's Own Credit Union are insured to $100,000, with IRAs insured separately to $250,000 by NCUA.
